Our
first trip to the pool was only half an hour after we arrived
at Camping du Pylon. James had been keeping track of the days,
and woke up in Menton on Saturday morning, knowing this was
the day we were going back to the pool where he could take
his dolphin. We managed a trip to the pool every day of the
holiday, except one (when we paddled at Juan les Pins), which
must be a record for us.
In
the children's pool the boys were well within their depth,
but they were also keen for a few minutes each time in the
big pool, where they needed arm bands. On separate occasions
each of them did forget, and jumped in the deep pool without
arm bands.
Our
frequent trips to the pool also meant that the boys made friends
with the children their. In particular, one little Irish girl
(one of four sisters) was very friendly, and helped the boys
round up their many inflatable toys.
